As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we welcome today's military service members into our ranks.
Eligibility
To join the VFW you must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national, have served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces, and meet one of the following overseas service requirements:
- Awarded a recognized campaign medal for overseas service, OR
- Served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea, OR
- Received Hostile Fire or Imminent Danger Pay.
Eligible conflicts include WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Global War on Terror, and other expeditionary campaigns.
